The best anime movies

One piece, Death note, Attack on titan, All amazing shows and picturistic masters pieces. and we could spend hours rewatching these shows.

but today we're going to go in a different direction. today we're going to talk about anime movies. (not those tv and naruto movies!!) , but some genuinely unique anime movies. a lot of people might be unaware that the world of anime extends further than all the anime shows we watch. contrary to popular belief these anime movies have plot, storylines and beautiful animation. so we have compiled a list of 10 jaw dropping movies that every fan of anime needs to see today.

10. vampire hunter D

In a very distant future, the world is over run by supernatural creatures. these monsters control the few human civilizations left on earth. among all this a young girl, named Doris, is bitten by a count magnus lee, as punishment for trespassing on his domain. distraught and afraid to spend eternity under the control of the cruel count,  Doris hires a man, only known as the vampire hunter, to hunt down and kill the count. all so she can be free from a life of eternal damnation.

9. Howl's Moving Castle

An 18 year old unconfident girl, named Sophie, is cursed by a spiteful witch. now forced to roam the world as a 90 year old woman, Sophie meets howl and accompanies him on his legged castle that roams from place to place. inside she meets a spirit that promises to undo the curse upon her if she can end the contract between him and howl. an amazing love story ensues between howl and Sophie in this breathtaking anime movie.

8. Koe no Kotachi

Revolving around nishymiya shoko, a deaf girl who transfers into a new school. upon arrival she is bullied extensively by her peers , especially by ishida shouya. things get so bad that she ultimately moves away. as she leaves every one turns on shouya and he ends up being bullied by all his former friends and classmates. several years pass by and now shouya has neither any friends nor any plans or goals for the foreseeable future. And he sets himself on a pat of redemption.

7. Princess Momonoke

A confident young warrior, ashitaka,  is stricken by a deadly curse, while trying to protect his village from the rampaging boar god / demon. he sets out on journey to find a cure for himself and accidentally stumbles into a war between the forest gods and the mining clan. the ambitious leader of the mining clan, uses guns and modern weapons to try to bring down the gods of the forest. in this conflict ashitaka meets princess momonoke. a powerful warrior who believes in the good on both sides and attempts to end the conflict. but she is met by hatred on both sides as they consider her to be on the enemy side.

6. The girl who leapt through time

A young girl attending high school suddenly realizes that she has the ability to literally leap through time. amazed at her new found ability she uses this gift to mostly get good grades and do things for her own benefits. however she soon realizes that her actions have consequences. and that she is affecting the lives of others and not just her own.

5. Ghost in the Shell

In the year 2029, technology has advanced to the point that cyborgs are common place and people can   directly connect their brain to the internet. major motoko , a cyborg, is part of an elite secretive force that deals with operations such as terrorism and cyber crime. the main antagonist is a man known as the puppet master. controlling others to do his crimes is his speciality. hot on his trail major motoko and the puppet master go head to head in this epic movie.

4. Your Name

Mitsusha is a young high school girl and the daughter of the mayor in a small mountain town. she makes it clear that she's not interested in small town rituals or her fathers business. instead she wants to spread her wings and try her luck in Tokyo. while Taki is a high school boy in Tokyo and dreams of becoming an artist. every night he has a weird dream, where he becomes ... a girl from a small mountain town.  these two have a strange connection but will distance be the thing that keeps them apart. 

3. Akira

In a post war Tokyo , kaneda is a bike gang leader whose friend Tetsuo gets involved in a secret government  organization known as Akira. as caned sets out to rescue him he has to face groups of anti government activists, greedy politicians, irresponsible scientists and a powerful military leader. the confrontation sets off tetsuos supernatural power which leads to a bloody death a coup attempt and a final battle in the Tokyo olympiad where akitas secrets were buried 30 years ago.

2. Ninja Scroll

All the residents in the town of shimmed have been killed by a plague. the togukawa clan  (local government) send a team of ninjas to investigate but all but one are wiped out. the only survivor is a girl named Kagero and she is taken prisoner. a passerby swordsman rescues her but his interest in her cause and her mission is temporary. 

1. Spirited Away

While moving to a new town Chihiro and her parents take wrong turn and find themselves at a dead end . to their misfortune they find a tunnel. choosing to enter it they end up in an abandoned amusement park. as her parents eat some food at a restaurant Chihiro roams around the park. as she's exploring she meets a young boy who warns her about the dangers of this land. rushing back to the restaurant Chihiro realizes that her parents have become pigs and she is trapped in a world of spirits, ghosts, demons and gods.
