The 9 best anime movie adaptions

anime is a growing cultural phenomenon with great masterpieces such as death note and one piece , but one thing that  (I believe) the anime industry will be able to do right are anime move adaptions.
And this is actually a huge compliment to the anime movie industry, because I say this without any exaggeration that these movies are absolute utter s***. everything from the acting to the adjusted plot lines, is horrible. there's no other way to describe it.
but its not entirely their fault either. you can't remake a live action version of dragon ball z with a limited budget and only 90 minutes, and then hope to have a hit. you just can't. thats why we have and love ANIME!!.

but despite all this if some of you guys still want to give these movies a try, here are some movies that are tolerable and might not make you hurl.

Mushishi

a young man who is obsessed with mushi , its mysteries and meaning , travels across the country following rumors of its existence and attempting to figure out its secrets and those of perhaps life itself

death note (2006)

a prodigal high school student discovers a notebook, notebook that kills all those whose names are written within it. drunk with power and his own twisted sense of justice , he sets out to rid the world of evil by murdering all those he deems guilty.

Rurouni Kenshin

this epic tale revolves around a samurai, Kenshin, who resolves never to kill again after a lifetime of brutality. this movie has excellent action sequences and is a great adaption of the original.

Old Boy

this movie is based on a protagonist who has been tortured for over a decade for reasons unknown. as he finally enters the normal world, he is hellbent on revenge in this dark, twisted version of the original manga series.

Bunny Drop

bunny drop follows the story of a 30 year old bachelor living in Tokyo. when he returns home for his grandfathers funeral. he learns that his grandfather left behind a 5 year old daughter, a girl no-one wants to keep. disgusted by his relatives, he takes her in . this is a great feel good movie that explores the bonds of family at its core.

Blood: the last vampire

in the midst of the American war in Vietnam , a young vampire is sent by the Americans to Japanese soil, with the sole purpose of destroying a monster.

Black Butler (2014)

this movie takes on a different perspective by basing the main character in an original story but the same universe. where he helps a (movie only) child to avenge the death of her parents. this movie does skillfully well without the pressure of stacking up to its original series.

kimi no todoke

a great feel good teen romance about a young girl who has trouble making friends due to her uncanny resemblance to the horror movie character in 'the ring' . this all changes however when shots decides he wants to be her friend.

Ao Haru ride

revolving around a girl , futuba, who was in love with her middle school friend. although unable to do anything at the time her world is turned around when he transfers to her high school.
